When we arrived the we were greeted by Katie and Jennifer Coons who were playing with the kids. The kids all had a great time swinging and playing around. More people trickled in and after a while we had a great group. While we were there we all enjoyed a lovely picnic and the kids had a great time!!

Playing with Cousins

On Saturday afternoon, all of us headed over to the Jefferson's to visit with Alli since she was in town. While we were there, we dressed the kids in bathing suits and headed down to the river below their house to play in the water. We were having unusually hot weather, in the mid 80's.

While at the river, the kids enjoyed walking around on the big rock and letting John soak them with a bucket of water.

After playing in the River, we headed back up to the house where the kids had a fun time playing in the hot tub, prior to heading in to get baths and get dressed.

March of Dimes Walk 2009

On Saturday morning, Emily and I got up, got dressed, and then headed to the Icar Campus for the 2009 March of Dimes Walk. We were the first from our group to arrive. Slowly but surely, the rest of our team from the Multiples Club arrived (the were on Multiple Standard Time). While we waited for the race, the kids played, and Katie received awards for being a spokesperson for the campaign and for our group being one of the top fundraisers. Before long our whole group had arrived and we all awaited the start. Once the race began, Kelly Copella's family and Emily and I stayed together.

Easter

On Easter morning, Emily work us all up in the pre crack of dawn. We were able to entertain her a little until we got the twins up to go check out what the Easter bunny left. When we got downstairs, all the girls seemed very excited and took time looking through their baskets. The first things they really got into were the suckers and sunglasses. After they played with their stuff a little, I started working on making waffles for breakfast. Once we had breakfast, got everyone showered and dressed, we headed outside. There, we presented the girls each with their own Bibles to take with them to church. They seemed to really enjoy getting them. After that, we played with the chicks and ducks before heading to church to meet the Sizemore group.

After church we all headed back to my Dad's where the kids played with the chicks and ducks, ate lunch, had an Easter egg hunt, and then worked on a special painting project Leslie had come up with. All the kids seemed to thoroughly enjoy painting.

Easter Egg Hunt at Mom's House

On the Saturday morning before Easter we all headed over to Mom's house for a mini Easter egg hunt and lunch. Along for the trip were the chicks and ducks. When we arrived, the kids showed off the chicks and ducks. After we had played with the animals a little while, we headed inside to start the Easter egg hunt. It had been raining a lot during the week, so Mom had hid the eggs inside. The kids had a great time looking for them and afterwards decided to try hiding them again outside. After hiding eggs more and playing, we all headed in for lunch.

Ducks

For an Easter surprise, John brought two baby ducks home on Thursday night after work. The kids were very excited to meet both of them and quickly took to playing with them. On order to let everyone get a good look, we headed to the back yard where they all took turns petting and holding the ducks.

Egg Hunt in Ansley and Bailey's Class

Today I went to Palmetto Prep around 3:30 for Ansley and Bailey's Easter Egg Hunt. When I arrived, the kids were playing outside, but Bailey had just come in for a potty break. After a week, they are still doing very well with their big girl panties!! Ansley soon saw Bailey and I coming outside. We were outside just a little while before it was time to head in to get their bags they had decorated and to give the teachers time to hide the eggs. While we waited, the kids had a great time dancing. As soon as they were ready, the kids were handed their bags and we made our way through their playground to the toddler playground where the eggs were hidden. Bailey surveyed the area to see what was going on, while Ansley when straight to the far side of the playground and started scooping up eggs. They both had a great time finding the eggs and after they all had sacks full, we headed back to their class to enjoy lots of

Mom's Night Out (In) at Katie's House

For Mom's Night Out in April, we all gathered at Katie's house for a Mom's Night In to watch Twilight (Katie and Angie's favorite movie). When I arrived, there were a few other there and we enjoyed visiting as everyone arrived. We all enjoyed tons of yummy snacks and visiting, along with the movie. I have to say, it was not my normal type movie pick, but it was worth seeing =)

Easter Egg Dying

On Sunday afternoon, after nap time we all headed to the back yard in order to partake in a little Easter egg dying fun. I had boiled 2 1/2 dozen eggs that morning and put old t-shirts on the kids. We all huddled around the kids picnic table. Emily decided to try the first egg in the egg spinner. It seemed to be a hit and all the kids then took turns trying the egg spinner and painting the eggs with paint sticks. Emily's favorite thing seemed to be the spinner for a while and then moved on to the paint sticks. Ansley loved being meticulous with painting her eggs with the paint sticks. Bailey just loved making a mess and trying to eat the painted eggs, shell and all. I was thinking the first bit would deter her, but the taste test continued throughout the afternoon. After all the surviving eggs were dyed, I took the eggs, along with some plastic ones, to the front and hid them. They all loved finding eggs and we repeated the process until the little ones didn't want to give up their eggs to have them hidden again. So we then just enjoyed the beautiful day int he back yard.

Big Girl Panties

Today, April 2nd, 2009 marks the official start of Ansley and Bailey wearing big girl panties. We have been doing some potty training for a while and the girls seem to be more in tune with it. However, the big deciding factor was Bailey's new found hobby of taking her diaper off and saying no diaper. Since they both seemed ready to try, we went for it and they have been doing great!!
