Egg Dying and Hunt March 22, 2008

On Saturday afternoon, Mom came over to join in the egg dying festivities. I had boiled the eggs on Friday, so as soon as we pulled out our bowls, threw in the dye tablets, and the warm water, we were in business. Emily really enjoyed dying the eggs and out of 18 eggs, only 1 got broken in the dying process. Being princess Emily, she had to keep washing her hands to get the dye off. When they were
dry she put on a couple of stickers and then was ready to hide them. I went out to the front yard and hid the eggs. She was so excited, she kept peeking out the front blinds. After I hid them, I went back in to get Emily, Mom and I each grabbed a baby and it was "ready, set, go" time. Emily did a great job finding the eggs and wanted to do it over and over. I hid the eggs a few more times and then Mom hid them some. I was so beautiful outside. Even Ansley and Bailey scooted around to get eggs. It was really cute to see Bailey walking on all fours gathering up eggs. Ansley was happy to get one and play with it. After about 6 rounds of hunting, so of the eggs were starting to fall apart, so we had one last hunt before calling it quits to eat dinner.

Easter Egg Hunt at Palmetto Prep 3-21-08
On F
riday after noon, March 21st, I arrived at Palmetto Prep around 2:00 pm. It was a gorgeous day!! When I got there, I headed to Emily's class to help in getting set up for the Easter party. Mrs. Taylor, the other pre-k teacher was there, so I helped her in getting the drinks ready before Ms. Doyle arrived back in the class with Mrs. Taylor's students. Mrs. Taylor took her students and met up with Ms. Doyle's class, while Ms. Doyle and I headed out to the infant play ground to hide the eggs. After we had started hiding the eggs, Amy, the room mother for Ms. Doyle's class arrived and helped us finish hiding the eggs. Needless to say, there were lots of eggs, and towards the end we ran out of hiding places so we started scattering them in the grass. After hiding the eggs, we headed back to the class to get the kids plates fixed for the party. Soon after we started fixing them, Daddy and Katrina arrived to help. We go t things set up and then headed back outside to meet up with the kids. On our way, we headed to Ansley and Bailey's door to see them. Luckily their hunt was starting so we were able to get them and help them in looking for eggs. Ansley immediately found two in the play tunnel and she was happy. Bailey found her first one and she was thrilled. The girls seemed to
want to play in the grass with their eggs, so we took a seat and they shook their eggs. Soon, Emily's class arrived. They were coming through the toddler playgroup and heading over to the infant play ground to start their hunt. I carried Bailey and Daddy had Ansley for Emily's hunt. Unlike the toddles, it was fast and furious for the big kids in the pursuit of eggs. They all seemed to have a great time and Emily's basket was overflowing with eggs. Towards the end, the kids loved showing their eggs off to Mrs. Taylor, Ms. Doyle, and all the other parents and grandparents. After the hunt was over, we all headed back over to Emily's class for the party. The kids really enjoyed their snacks, but I think they were more anxious than anything to open their eggs. We did not stay a long time before headed over to Ansley and Bailey's class to pick up their bags and snack. They were also having a party in their room. After getting their stuff, we all headed out, I took the little ones, and Emily headed home with Daddy and Katrina to spin the night.

Michelin Easter Egg Hunt
Unfortu
nately, on Saturday morning we awoke to a rainy day. However, the Michelin annual Easter egg hunt was planned for rain or shine so we proceeded over to Pelham Rd around 9:30. John had to work to get ready to go out of town Monday, so me and the girls met up with Mom and Dave in the parking lot at Michelin. When we arrived, there was a break in the rain so we headed to the front entrance of the building. They had moved the animals under the awning due to the rain. Emily really loved feeding the baby goats. Fortunately they were
hungry, so they were all anxious to drink the milk. Soon, Laura, Scott, Alyssa, and Ashton arrived so we paused for a group photo of the kids.
Soon, it was time to head inside and get ready for the hunt. While mom and Bailey waited in line, Emily, Ansley, and I made our way around to a few of the games. First was basketball, then tossing rings, then leap frog. I think the frog game was Emily's favorite. We were unaware the hunt started, so we played a few games and accidentaly missed it. With the rain, it was really short in the ro
oms they had set up. Once we realized it had just started, we walked over to the room and everyone was filing out. They had a bag of eggs and they gave Emily some. After eggs, we waited in the line to see the Easter bunny. Bailey was really curious about the bunny and kept trying to play with his nose. Ansley and Emily were very into the slinkies they had gotten, so no one really decided to pose for the pictures. After that we made our way around for some more games, snack, and then to the bounce house on another level. Things had gotten nice outside, so they were moving things back outside.
We headed outside where Emily wanted to ride the train. While Emily, Bailey, and Mom rode the train, Ansley and I watched them go around the parking lot. On their way back, I happen to see a girl I know from the Multiples Club, Suzanne Tintenger. We visited a little bit while Emily, Mom, and Bailey say the fire truck and the goats.

We hung around for a little while longer for Emily to play some more games, before packing up and heading home. It was a lot of fun!!

Monkey Joe's March 8, 2008

After nap time, we came back over to pick up Walker and Alli to go to Monkey Joe's. The kids and Wilbur all had a great time!!! During our trip, Emily and Wilbur even took their picture with Monkey Joe.
During t
he kids snack time, we got more than a few looks and ohs, as people looked on thinking we had 5 kids =) They were all behaving great, but people were still shocked. Since having the twins, we have been flodded with coments like that is too many kids (Emily and the twins), people being sorry about us having twins, etc. It has always been more than irratating and made me feel sorry for what people with triplets or more go through with people and their comments. Lets just say peoples reaction today gave me a whole nother level of sympathy for what others with multiple children go through.
During t

While at Monkey Joe's all the little monkeys ran wile, jumped, played, etc. All the cousins really enjoyed being together. For parts of it John took the older three around, while Ansley, Bailey, and I went to the special jump area set up for three years old and younger. They loved it. They crawled, bounced, stood up, and were very silly.
After a while we all met back up to play, have a snack, etc. After snack time we played for a while longer but it was getting so busy that we decided to call it a day.

Wilbur spends the weekend with us March 7-9, 2008

Bailey is Starting to Walk 3-8-08
This has been a very exciting week for Bailey. Although she has been standing a lot more and taking a step or two, this week she has really started being more steady on her feet and taking several steps in a row. Although she gets a little out of control by the end of her steps, she is doing great!!

New School (Palmetto Prep)

After three great years as a part of the CWE family at First Baptist Mauldin, we decided that it would be best for the girls to move preschools. On Friday February 8th, it was a tearful goodby for me to some of the teachers we had grown to love, like Mrs. Teresa (who had been in the infant room since Emily was there) and Mrs. Tasha (Emily's 2K teacher). Althoguh we thought the move was best for the girls, it is still hard to say goodby to those you love.

On Monday February 11th, John and I drove the girls to their new school, Palmetto Prep. When we arrived
Emily seemed very excited. As we came in, we first spoke with one of the director's staff to get any last minute details, including our door codes. As is turned out we had grown up together in Sugar Creek. It is quite a small world. She the took us to their class where we met their teachers. who all seemed very nice. After droppong off Ansley and Bailey, John and I took Emily to her class. She was very excited and it was had to get a hug and a by. She was off and playing.

When I arrived to pick the girls up in the afternoon, they seem to have all had great days. Emily was very excited about all that she did and learned, And the babies seem to be thriving.

Tigers, Elephants, and Goats oh my
On Saturday morning, Emily and I headed to Stax to meet Daddy, Mason, and Sydney prior to going to the circus. When we arrived, we were just in time to order with the group. Emily and I jsut had a snack since we had breakfast earlier. Around 10, we all packed up in Daddy's car and headed downtown to see the circus. We parked in the garage and walked to the front of the Bi-lo center to pick up our tickets at will call. As were were on the way in, security let me know that I was not able to take in the camers =( So no circus pictures for us. The kids were really excited so walked down to the center ring to check everything out. About the time they were asking us to return to our seats, Emily got to give a clown a hug. She thought that was really neat. As a special treat, Daddy gave each of the kids money to pick out the suveneer of their choice. Emily immediatly found a light up princess wand and was sold. Then it was time for the show. We had a great spot on the bottom floor. At first, Emily was a little spooked by all the noise and lights, but she quickly got into the show. For most of the first half she sat in my lap eating her popcorn and dancing back and forth. Towards the end she wanted to sit with Mason. Emily was amazed when the elephants started coming out and then the trick riders. There were many spectacular performances between the animals, acrobatics, singing, dancing, and the clowns. All of the kids seemed to throughly enjoy themsleves. After it was over, we went by Chick-fil-a for a snack, before heading home.
